What: Each of the four days will feature lessons and activities about different conservation topics. We will play outside and learn how to be good conservationists in our area! What will my child learn at Conservation Kid's Camp?
Each day, campers will learn about one of four conservation topics: forestry, water quality/soil erosion, recycling, and invasive species. We will be spending lots of time outside so please send your child dressed and prepared appropriately.
What does my child need to bring to Conservation Kid's Camp?
Please dress your child appropriately for outdoor activities, including closed-toed shoes, a hat, and rain gear (if necessary). Please apply sunscreen and bug spray prior to arrival at camp each day. A small snack will be provided each day, but please send your child with a water bottle (we will have water available to fill it up).
Who is the staff that will Conservation Kid's Camp?
Antrim Conservation District staff will run the camp. The two main staff running the camp will be McKenzie Fox, who is in charge of Education & Outreach, and our AmeriCorps member, Emma Costantino. Both staff have experience with children of all ages and have developed many educational presentations and programs in various topics. Other ACD staff will assist throughout the camp.
