By volunteering at the Antrim Conservation District, you become an integral part of our organization by helping us engage Antrim County residents in conservation and sustainable land use projects.
ACD Volunteer Opportunities:
Tree Sale Assistants
Our Tree Sale Assistants work along aside our staff in preparing for the annual spring tree sale. Duties may include: unloading trailers, organizing and packaging tree orders, and greeting customers.
Native Habitat Enhancers
Our Native Habitat Enhancers assist with invasive species removals, tree planting, and other native plantings.
Trail Stewards
Our Trail Stewards allow us to have multiple eyes on our trail systems. Duties may include: trail blazing, routine tree checks, guided hikes, and other necessary trail maintenance.
Household Hazardous Waste Event Attendants
Our HHW Event Attendants work along aside our staff as ACD hosts multiple household hazardous waste collection days per year throughout Antrim County. Duties may include: greeting customers and assisting staff unload materials from vehicles.
Land Use Educators
Our Land Use Educators work with our Outreach and Education Director & Conservation Program Manager to design and implement lesson plans for people of all ages, including K-12 grade and adult educational workshops.
Grounds Maintenance Workers
Our Grounds Maintenance Workers help keep our office location looking beautiful! Duties may include: grass mowing, flower bed care, pond maintenance, along with other projects.
