Antrim County Calendar Art Contest

K-6th grade students are invited to demonstrate their art skills in this art contest!  Submit your artwork demonstrating the outdoor beauty of Antrim County!  See below for more information.

This opportunity is available to students in grades K-6th who live or attend school in Antrim County.

Rules & Information
1. Entries must be original and demonstrate natural resources or the outdoor beauty of Antrim County.   This includes but is not limited to: animals and plants of Antrim County; landscapes such as lakes, forest, beaches; people in the outdoors; etc.  

2. Entries must be horizontally composed on a single 8.5-by-11-inch sheet of white paper or cardstock.

3. Artwork can be done with any of the following 2-D mediums: markers, crayons, pencil, paint, chalk, or collage.  No photography.

4. Entries can be submitted through the student/child’s school or on their own/outside of a school setting.

5. Clearly record (please print) ALL student/child information on the form provided and TAPE TO THE BACK SIDE (please no staples) of each drawing.

6. Entries should be from individual students/children in grades K-6 who reside or attend school in Antrim County.  No group drawings are allowed.  Only one entry per student/child.  More than one entry from a class/school/family may be mailed in the same envelope.

7. Entries must be received by 4:30 PM on Friday, November 8th, 2019.  Entries may be delivered in person or mailed to the ACD Office (4820 Stover Rd. Bellaire, MI 49615).

8. A community panel of judges will review each entry.  Winners will be notified before the end of November 2019.

9. Entries become the property of Antrim Conservation District and will not be returned.

10. The 14 winning artworks will be used in a 2020 Antrim Conservation District calendar.  Student names, teachers, and schools will be identified on the calendar.  Entries may also be used for other products or promotional materials.

11. The artists of the winning drawings will receive a free calendar mailed to their school or home address and will be invited to attend and recognized at the Antrim Conservation District’s Annual Meeting on December 4th, 2019.

Teachers are encouraged to have their students participate within their classroom activities with the teacher submitting all of the children's artwork, but children can also submit their artwork outside of school.
